500 Days of Summer

This weekend has been filled of movies. Me and W watched three movies together *laughs*

The first one was gorgeous Joseph Gordon-Levitt's 500 Days of Summer. Warmly recommend it! He is so darn cute!

The two other ones were Golden Slumber and Soranin. Both are Japanese-works. Golden Slumber was really exciting, but I hated the ending, it reminded me of the un-ended ending like District 9.
The last movie we saw was Soranin, featuring Aoi Miyazaki. To be honest, the pace was far too slow for me. But Miyazaki is a great actor, although it did not lift the movie.

I think that I really prefer action/sci-fi/fantasy/magic movies. Drama/romance/real-life stories are simply not my cup of tea, since when I watch a movie, I want to dream away to another world. The Lord of the Rings movies are great examples of favorites, or sci-fi like Matrix. But I am a real sucker for Marvel movies as well, such as Iron Man and Batman.

But I guess that 500 Days of Summer is an exception, because it is not like any other romance stories I've seen. As I said earlier, warmly recommend it!
