First pair of shoes...

Ok, I admit it. The title is a bit misleading. I mean I got my first pair of shoes since my arrival to Japan *laughs* Let us all pray that W will not scold me tonight...I must make up a very nice history to this one...not something like "I already have a lot of black shoes, but not a pair like these (already used that one 100times) "...it would be better to explain it in a more economical and thinking way, like "this is an investment, I will divide the price with how many seasons I will use them".

Yes, already I am feeling less guilty. Hahaha.... But they are a pair of lovely high heeled sandals. Chunku wooden heels, black leather. Will also be perfect for autumn with a pair of chunky knitted tights.

I will upload some pics later today or tomorrow!

Love,
Anita

In Japan

Yesterday I arrived safely to Japan, W was waiting for me outside the arrival gate.
The trip went really fast, must be because of the huge selections of movies onboard, I think that I watched four or five movies...

The weather is hot hot hot. Once I stepped out of the plane, it was like a sauna-effect.

Today I am having dinner at my favorite restaurant "Chacha" and hopefully some shopping in Shinjuku before that.

More update later!

Ready, set, GO!

Good morning people in Sweden!
Awful writing yesterday, but I was simply too busy preparing everthing to Japan and healing my throat. Luckily it feels somewhat better today! Maybe thanks to the lemon and peppermint tea I drank three cups of? :)

Anyway, the luggage is prepared and almost finished, just some minor details left.
The trains leaves in about 3hours, plenty of time left in other words.

I'll try to update as soon as I arrive to Japan. Or you could simply follow my twitter for possible quicker updates: http://twitter.com/ani_chu

JAPAN x 2

Believe it or not, I'll be in Japan during November month as well! This time I'm bringing my older brother with me, and later one of my best friend's is going to join us!

This will be the first time for my brother in Asia. We are going to have a tight schedule, so I will try to show him as much as possible of Tokyo. Harajuku, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Ueno, Asakusa, Odaiba, Roppongi etc etc. Maybe even fit in a small onsen-trip to Hakone?

So the plan looks like this, I'll will be flying on Saturday and be back in the beginning of October. then at the beginning of November I will be flying again! Super-excited!

Right now I'm searching for a place to stay for my brother, maybe one of those weekly mansions in central Tokyo?

MARRON GLACÉ & AQUAMARINE

To Japan I'm going to bring these two new nailcolors with me (I figured that my minx nails won't last for more than a month).

The first color is a mint green color, very similar to Jade from Chanel, but this one has more shimmer in it.
Marron Glacé also remind me of one of the colors from Chanel, to be more precise, the hyped Particuliare.

As you may have noticed, I'm a bit tired of pink and red nails right now.

Hey, it's Mickey!

Yesterday after getting minx nails done I went on a heels-hunt (as told earlier). And we successfully got a pair my friend liked *yay* A pair of simple, black, semi-heeled leather pumps. A must-have in every women's wardrobe in my opinion. Hihi...

I also found this super cute mohair mix sweater at H&M's Divided section. I took the largest size available to create an oversized look. It will also look great with a black shirt under, paired up with a pair of skinny denims.

I am not a huge Disney-fan, but what I love about it is that the Mickey Mouse ears are made in black sequins.

Wow, I'm so ready for autumn now. But as some Japanese friends has warned me about, the heat in Tokyo is on blast. So I guess that I will go from this soon-to-be-autumn-weather-in-Sweden, to hot as hell in Japan. I don't know if I will survive the heat...

UNIQLO Velvet Collection second launch

I really wonder if this second launch of UNIQLO's velvet collcetion will be available on the 9th September in Japan. It seems like it will be launched on that date in the US.

Love the black, sligthly oversized sweater to the far right! The shape is kind of cute.

MINX TOMORROW

Tomorrow I'm getting my nails done again, this will be the second time with golden minx nails.

The great thing with minx is that they can stay longer than usual nailinks. I think that my last set held for almost a month without any problem.

I usually do my minx at Style Station here in my hometown, warmly recommend them!

Tomorrow I am also going on a heels-hunt with a friend, it will be superfun! *lookingforwardtoit*
I also must get all the souvenirs to Japan, I'm thinking about a bottle of fruitwine...

THREE WHITE PIECES

I usually tend to wear a lot of black when autumn/winter is on its way. But this year, I feel like really breaking that pattern. These three beautifukl pieces are from TOPSHOP. The first pne is a tunic ruffle dress with a zip on the back. The one in the middle is a lace racer back blouse (love it!).
The last one is an oversized cable knitted jumper, perfect for the cold winter here in Sweden. I would style it with a pair of skinny blue denims or a mini-skirt.

BLUSH LIKE CLEMENTINE OR JUICY PEACH?

Today my order from Lily Lolo arrived! Talk about fast!

This time I ordered two new blush samples. Clementine and Juicy Peach.
The first one is matte peachy/pink and the other is in matte peach.

I also ordered an original size of the blush called Cherry Blossom, it's in a very lovely pale pink/peachy color with a subtle shimmer to it. My favorite so far!

The great thing with Lily Lolo must really be that you can order priceworthy samples from them.
My next blush in full size will definately be Candy Girl, which is in a lovely and shimmery pale pink.

Check!

Trainticket to Arlanda on Saturday. Check!
Flightticket. Check!
Luggage. Check!

I'm so ready for Japan!

WHYRED S/S 2011

Fashionweek in Sweden just ended and I've been following it a bit. Here are some picks from Whyred's Spring/Summer 2011 show. LOVE the color choices, the mix of materials and the wearablility!

Whyred has become one of those designers that will never disappoint you.

What shall I bring?

My upcoming Japan-trip on Saturday will be my 10th time. That is pretty much right? But still, all I can think of is what I will eat and go to my favorite shops *laughs* and of course, being able to hold W's hand, eat dinner together or just go and spontaneously watch a movie.

Today I've been preparing my luggage. As usual I'm having a hard time, since I heard that the weather there is still like 30celcius. HOT in other words for me... I have been so ready for the autumn these past days, but I should not complain when I can wear my skirts, dresses and shorts for a longer period :)

I'm trying to write a list for what kind of souvenirs I should bring... any idea?

WINE AND CHEESE ALL NIGHT

Yesterday's wine and cheese night was such a success. Like everyone else who came, I also insist on that we should do it more often!

We had three different bottles of fruitwine, five different kinds of cheese, chocolate, fruitplate and jams.
And on top of that, I also made a pineapple-pie *laughs*
I think that everyone really rolled home later on.

I want to thank the three persons who came by yesterday, Emma, Kakan and Cissi!
Thank you for a lovely night!

I also decided to share my recipe for the pineapple-pie:

Dough
150g butter (room temp.)
1,5 dl wheat (switch it to a more healthy version is also good)
1,5 oatmeal
0,5-1,0 dl sugar (use brown sugar instead of plain white)
1,0 tsk baking powder

Filling
1 can of crushed pineapple (reduce the juice, if you have bought a pack of those halfcans with 3 packages, use two of those)
1 egg
2,0 dl sour cream (take the one that is 34% fat, no light versions!)
0,5 dl sugar
2,0 tsk vanilla sugar (here I really recommend Dansukker's Fairtrade version)

**

The oven should be pre-heated on 200 celcius and the pie in for 20 minutes.

Serve it warm with vanilla ice-cream!

ULTIMATE MILITARY CAPE

I'm in heaven. This lovely camel cape from TOPSHOP is on its way to me!

Update: ALSO IN BLACK
this cape is now also available in black.

I ♥ Japan

Just a small hint of what is going to happen next Saturday:

Stockholm → Frankfurt → Tokyo

Guess what I am going to do today?

Today I'm cutting my hair!

It was fun having this long, long hair, but now it's getting boring.
But on the other hand I am beginning to wonder how much I dare to cut...

Tomorrow I'm going to host a wine-night with some friends, so I'm thinking of baking a pineapple-pie as well. It's going to be a sweet night.

More update later!

3rd place, not bad Sweden.

This is really interesting! What surprised me was that Finland actually is on the first place...
But Sweden is not so bad, third place. Japan is in top 10 as well, or to be more precise ninth place.

THINGS TO REMEMBER

August 17, 2010

H&M Sep/Oct 2010

Sometime I really curse myself for liking (loving) H&M so much. These pictures are borrowed from Nitrolicious.com

I was really aiming for the checked cape from Topshop (mentioned in my earlier post today), but now H&M has ruined my plans by launching the darling checked cape above! The mustard/white/black checked one below is also very cute! And the boots!

Can you form a hate/love releationship with a brand? I think that I just did...damn you H&M.

MAXI SKIRT + T-SHIRT

Ok, before autumn hits for real, there is this one look I want to try out. A maxi skirt with a simple t-shirt or blouse.

Problem 1
I do not own a maxi skirt, does ankle length count?

Problem 2
There are non maxi skirt available in the stores right now...

Solution?
Vintage maybe? I must ask mami...

MY LIST FOR AUTUMN 2010

Ok, after a dose of spring/summer 2011, it's time to go back to the reality and focus on autumn/winter.
What I love about the autumn is the beautiful coats and boots you can wear. I have a crazy coat-wardrobe, from a plastic black a la Matrix PVC jacket to a white Chanel:ish coat. But what I still miss is a new cape, I'm still lusting for the camel colored one (love!) or the Great Britain checked one from Topshop (adore!).

I love the variety. The same goes for boots. Ankle boots, knee-high boots, UGGs, short boots with fur and overknee-boots. I will start using my Cardia boots from Whyred as soon as possible! But this year, I will also hunt for a new pair of low-heel boots in suede or brown leather. And also a pair of chunky heeled loafers.

What else that I want to focus on this autumn is the lips. I want to re-discover all kinds of color. So it will be wine lips, mademoiselle red, fierce pink and nude. This upcoming season will offer all kinds of colors! Raspberry, blueberry, cranberry, cloudberry, you name it!

A new coat and boots are the best investment for the autumn wardrobe. But classics like trenchcoats and the boyfriend-coat is still very much wearable (thank god!).

Something else I want in my autumn wardrobe is a dress in a la Mad Men style. Very much inspired by the 50's fashion. It's feminine, powerful and cute at the same time. Just check out Louis Vuitton's latest runway, and you will see what I mean.

If you are not a huge fan of dresses. Go for a strict white shirt or sheer blouse. This year I want to wear my white shirt with a chunky knitted sweater, paired with skinny jeans and high heels. I think that I will walk with heels until the snow falls on the ground...or even then... shall there be something that can prevent me?

So bye bye to the rock chick/boho era, and hello and welcome to the more feminine x masculine, tailored and wearable one!

Kartell + Moschino

Ok, let us put aside all the autumn/winter fashion for awhile. Let ut look at some goodie-stuff for next spring/summer 2011 instead!

We all remember the gorgeous chair (Mademoiselle) the collaboration between Kartell and Moschino gave us. For next year they present us the BowWow ballerina shoes! They come in all kinds of lovely color and are absolutely adorable!

The flat shoes are entirely made from 100% recyclable, interwoven plastic technopolymer, and of course, the  trademark Moschino bow perched on the toe.

"The synergy between Kartell and Moschino is rooted in the creative and experimental identity of the two Italian brands, which has led them to work together on projects that extend from design to fashion and vice versa," said Rossella Jardini, Moschino's creative director.

The collection will be on sale from January 2011. You will be able to find them in leading multibrand boutiques, single-brand Moschino stores and Kartell stores throughout the world. The price? 85 euros.

Craving alert!

J.Crew Fall 2010

Adore the styling of J-Crew's Fall lookbook for this year!

Red lips has been a hot color on the lips this year, but I really like the innocence and cute, yet vibrant pink as well!

THAT coat!

Ok, I want an exact copy of the lovely coat above.

White and quilted. I am in love.

おはよーYO♡

I am finally done re-uploading all the pics for 2010 on this platform. Loads of work, but I'm happy that it's finished. Now I am thinking of re-posting 2009 posts as well... but that is still only on the planning part.

Yesterday I had three of my cousins on visit. Taking care of a 4, 2 and almost 1 year old is not easy! Standing ovation to the parents! Lot's of love to Liam, Theo and Stella.

August 15, 2010

Almost finished

Ok, almost all the pictures ar back online again, except for January month (I'll fix that tomorrow).

Since it's 2am in Sweden I figured out that it's time for me to it the shower and get some sleep. Tomorrow I'm having two little boys visiting me. My cousins Liam and Theo!

So good night and sweet dreams (good morning to my Japanese-readers!)

A bunch of old men bringing hardcore action

As you all may know, today I went to the movies to see Sylvester Stallone's new action-packed movie, The Expendable.

It was truly old-school action-filled film. Stallone was in great shape for being 64years old. Dolph Lundgren which is one of our Swedish export pride was also great. Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis made both a very short but funny cameo. Jet Li was cool and cute as always and all the other actors were great as well.

You want to watch a hardcore action movie, which I simply would sum it up as: bom bom, bam bam, ka-boom.

Well, this is the movie for you.

August 14, 2010

damn damn damn

I thougth that it would be alright to copy all my old posts from Ameba (my previous blog platform), but it turns out to be impossible to save the pictures *sad*

How to solve this?

Update:
Ok, I'm re-uploading all the pics from my computer (thank God I saved everything in a folder)

GAGA PEACE

This is Vanity Fair's upcoming September issue. Lady Gaga is naked in shades of grey.

Although the lack of color, I cannot seem to dislike it. Love the nailcolor!

I am very curious about Vogue's cover...

ELLE JAPAN SEPTEMBER 2010

READY FOR SOME ACTION

Tomorrow I'm hittin' the cinema again, so what is the movie choice this time?

The fully action packed film, The Expendables. Big action hero names such as Stallone, Jet Li, Dolph, Arnold, Bruce Willis etc etc

Watch the trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6RU5y2fU6s

As you may have noticed I love watching movies, all kinds of movies that can take me far away and let me be in another world. I'm not a huge fan of those "based on true story stuff", but other than that, I am open for all kinds of movies. Everything from movies like this one to Toy Story *laughs*

Anyway, someone here who wants to see Inception with me again?
