Today I'm heading out to Shinjuku (surprise surprise), as if I haven't been there for a million times already *laughs*

I'm having lunch with a friend and later dinner with my cousin and her husband. It is their last day in Japan since they will be flying back to Sweden tomorrow.

 

Also, no more updates until next week, because I will be flying to Hokkaido tomorrow!!

AFTERNOON TEA

Good morning in Sweden! (maybe not yet since it's night over there now...)

Anyway, sorry for the lack of updates. You know when weekend comes, W and I try to spend as much time as possible with each other.

Yesterday we went to Ikebukuro (Sunshine, Esola etc etc...) and finished the day with going to see the new Nodame Cantabile movie. I warmly recommend it, it's hilarious!

Sorry for the lack of updates today my friends, I've been out (combined with waking up a bit late...)

This is what I had for dessert! Yesterday after I made my cupcakes, W's mum made coffecake.

It's superdelicious, so thank you for the recipe! I'll treasure it.

Other than that...a bit of shopping and reading at my favorite cafe La Maison. How many times have I been there now? hahaha...

Though, this week must be the most boring yet, I've been totally caved in because of all the studying.

Now on a Friday night, I'm still in *sigh*

I want to go out and dance all night long at a club.

Ok, before this input gets too cranky, I think that I'll stop here.

私のカップケーキのレシピです♡

Here is my recipe for my carrot cupcakes!

 

FIRST PART

1. Shred 2-3 carrots

2. Whip 2 eggs and 100g sugar until it becomes light and fluffy.

3. Mix 120g flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon cardamon and 1/2 teaspoon salt.

4. Mix together the flour mix and egg-mix together.

5. Then put the shredded carrots and 100g fluid oil into the mix (canola oil is prefered, not olive oil!)

 

6. Put the cupcakes/cake into the oven for 25-30minutes in 200celcius (bottom)

SECOND PART

Mix 100g Philadelphia, 40g butter (room temp.), approx. 150-200g flour sugar (depending on how sweet you want your topping to be) 1 teaspoon vanilla essence into a mixer.

 

When the cupcakes has chilled down you can start decorating!

TOPPING TIPS

*roasted coconut flakes (you can also color the flakes, I usually do orange)

*roasted almond flakes

*cardamon+hazelnut mix (warmly recommend this!)

*strawberries, raspberries, blueberries (anykind of berry is fine!)

*green tea (maccha, mix it in the mixer and it'll be lovely green)

*After Eight (mix it together and you will get a mint chocolate crunch flavor)

*M&M's

The variations are endless, just let your imagination run wild!

If you are not going to eat all the cupcakes on the same day, you can always put them into the fridge, then they will be as delicious for approx 2-3days.

Must first apologize to my animal-loving friends for buying fur. Nothing I really intended, I promise!

Although...it is amazingly soft...

Anyway, it also came in black, but I like this mixed texture more, AND, I have too much dark colored clothings...

I can imagine pairing this together with simple white tee or my newly bought black silk shirt.

Or why not over a black casual one piece?

One thing I really like is green tea ice-cream in Japan.

I know that some restaurants in Stockholm serves it, but the green tea ice from Haagen Dazs must be the most delicious one I've ever had!

It's a must try for them to travels to Japan. Warmly recommend it, even during winter!

One thing I like about shopping in Japan is all those cute bags you get, this cute shopper bag is from Heather. Last week I got one from Lowrys Farm.

They will be perfect for small trips or grocery shopping

There is only 1 month left until my deadline, and I have yet still touched the last (thickest) book.

It is never too late for sweets, I just enjoyed a banana choco flavored macaron.

My very first to be honest.

I have always been looking at them in bakerys and such, but never bought one.

It felt like a cookie combined with meringue. Sweet.

It was perfect with a cup of green tea.

But it was better than I thought, but waaay too long for a movie about baseball and sportmenship.

Dark chocolate, just as I wanted it! Lacks a bit of shine though...

Yesterday I went out to Suidoubashi (Tokyo Dome) for dinner with a bunch of friends.

I had a great time! Ate nabe with lot's of collagen, which is supposed to be very good for the skin...

Humhum...I'm a bit skeptical of that though...

Before dinner that I decided to hit the stores at La Qua.

As usual I found something from Lowrys Farm. I totally adore that store! *laughs*

But my readers must already know that right?
